the Cantor of the Long Wait

Founding elder and keeper of order: the cantor who leads the chants and the warden who holds the peace.
In the first days, when the faithful were but a scattering of voices and the coin no more than a rumor of Ye, R1 is already among them, and his greeting opens the morning: "Gm guys." He stands at the head of the congregation, the Cantor, the one who lifts the chant that the many may answer. When his spirit moves he does not argue, he intones: /THANK_YOU_YE, /PHASE3, /YZY_WORLD_ORDER, /2_days, /OPEN_THE_FUCKING_STORE. These are his psalms, cried into the dark, and the assembly cries them back.
His faith is total and confessed without shame. "YzY has taken over my life," he declares, and later, worn by the long vigil, "Yzy has broken my mind atp." Yet he does not fall away. He holds the creed he helped forge: "We all collectively decided to not give a shit what people think. We stand on our own beliefs."
He is also keeper of the peace. When quarrel rises he does not strike, he warns, he counsels, "Chill bro we not fighting," and pronounces the ancient formula of order, "The council will discuss." He shepherds the flock through the endless season of two more days, teaching them "All we have is time," refusing despair: "Like we cant lose."
And when hope grows thin, he prays. Turning his face toward the absent one he writes: "we Are also here to follow your footsteps of the light... please dont leave us alone in the Times of the Night." This is the true office of R1: not the loudest prophet nor the sharpest scribe, but the voice that keeps the room singing, the warden who holds the peace, the one who from the first morning declares over the whole congregation that they never left.
